Take time to slow down and listen to the people around you.
My friend has a brother who is autistic. Currently, he is a silent autistic but he will write notes to you to communicate. About 2 weeks ago, he started writing notes to me. It was so amazing that he felt comfortable enough to write notes to me. Yesterday I was at her house again and I was walking around downstairs and I saw him get up and start walking towards me with his notebook. I stopped and waited for him to come over to me to see what he had written. On it he had written “What are your 2 favorite worship songs? Mine are You are My King (Amazing Love) and [I can’t remember the other one, oops]” It was so amazing to hear what his favorite worship songs were, that he had favorite worship songs. This song took a new meaning to me after he told me that. God is so amazing. He is moving in this young boy’s life.
